OJ was almost "The Terminator" And Disney's Davy Crockett Killed A Lot Of Raccoons."
Los Angeles, CA - January 12, 2004 -- For the 1984 movie "The Terminator", OJ Simpson was ruled out for the lead role because director James Cameron couldnt see 'The Juice' as a killer. This is one of the many little known tales about Tinseltown presented in both written and audio form now available free to the public at http://www.HollywoodStories.com. Created by Stephen Schochet, author and narrator of the audiobooks "Fascinating Walt Disney" and "Tales Of Hollywood" the site tells rollicking tales of Movie Trivia involving everyone from past legends Charlie Chaplin, Errol Flynn, Shirley Temple, Lucille Ball and Walt Disney to modern icons like Harrison Ford, Johnny Depp and Britney Spears, to name a few.
One of the wilder missives included on the site is the late Errol Flynn tricking a Congressman into taking off his clothes and running stark naked into a formal dinner party. There is also a MP3 recounting of how Disney's Davy Crockett caused such a demand for raccoon skin caps in 1954 that housewives hid behind trashcans with shotguns to pick off the little critters and turn them in for bounties.
Schochet started collecting tales while working as a Hollywood Tour Guide, developing his skills as a crowd pleasing storyteller over ten years. "People love to hear how famous legends originated," he says. "Also there are many hilarious, colorful stories about the stars themselves." Like the time actor Sean Penn rode a bus and was unrecognized by another passenger who inadvertently called the temperamental star nasty names to his face. Or the story of the late Lee Marvin being too drunk to find his house and purchasing a map to the Star's Homes to locate it.
Stephen Schochet regularly appears on a variety of radio shows across the nation and is the author and narrator of the audiobooks "Fascinating Walt Disney" and "Tales Of Hollywood".
Stephen Schochet tells Hollywood Stories on radio, audiobooks, tours and speaking engagements. To hear more tales go to http://www.hollywoodstories.com.
